How successful leaders stay organized at work

There's a myth that every successful leader has a perfectly organized day. You may even envy those leader you notice that appear to have it all together – organized, poised and ready to solve a problem, at a moments notice.


  1. Set your intention based on your goals and the organization's goals.

  2. Find your rhythm, if you don't resonate with concept of work/life balance that's ok. Adopt the rhythm that fits this stage of your life.

  3. Stay focused, once you set your intention be disciplined to reject things that aren't in alignment with the stated intention(s).

  4. Eliminate excuses.

  5. Eliminate distractions, try shutting off smartphone notifications and encourage people who need to contact you to do so at time that fits your rhythm.

  6. Don't Compare.

  7. Tidy up, organize your space in a format that makes it easy for you to find what you need. This includes digital files.
